Well the new year has started, and I hope you are recovering well. We ate rice cake soup, and had berliners. Rice cake soup is traditional for the new years in Korea. Luckily my mother sent a box here to Germany to make absolutely sure her children and grand child would be able to eat it on the new years. I think all three of us enjoyed it so very much, but the two adults were almost cried over our bowls. We missed eating it so very much. In Germany they eat berliners , jelly filled doughnuts, and they were fantastic. We had one each, and then the L.O. decided he had enough and went to bed at 7pm.
Our neighbors had bought tons of fire works and when midnight hit, we could see the flickering through the rolladens (the metal shades over the windows, all american houses should have them!). L.O. didn’t even stir.
