If you ever read the comic Dogpatch and/or Little Abner you are familiar with the characters that decorate the outside and inside of this fine eating establishment. The food was hearty and in large portions and the menu itself was fun to read. they also have a gift shop there with things related to the area and you can get a copy of the menu if you like!
I posted these as thumnails because I didn’t want this page to load slowly.

The Grub:
MIL had the French toast which was outstanding!

If I remember correctly the bread was made at the restaurant, and may have been one of the reasons the bread was scarfed down so fast here. I could also have been the long drive down the Seney strip! Very long drive…
I FIL had the vegetarian omlelt and wasn’t impressed but loved everything else on his plate.
Â
Â
I had an omelet but for the life of me I couldn’t remember the omelet I had, because for some darn reason I forgot to right down my order in my notes! But I remember enjoying, and especially the Hashbrowns and TOAST!
Â
Â
DH od course had the steak breafast which he said was quite worth it, but I will have to take his word for it because he inhaled it so fast!

I just wanted to leave you with some better photographs, and thought you would like to see lake Superior. Depending on where you are the beaches are soft and sandy, covered in grass, have small rocks or quite large ones. All in all it is always beautiful.
